Decatur High graduate Eron F. Smith has been awarded a National Merit $2,500 Scholarship.
She will attend Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.
Decatur Patch ran stories last year telling how Smith was one of three Decatur High School band students who won spots in the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program.
The $2,500 Merit Scholar designees were chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 finalists.
These scholars may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
