Three Cherokee sheriff’s deputies graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.

Cody Jones, Matthew Freeman and Bryan Stark completed 408 hours of police training in 11 weeks. The deputies are currently assigned to the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, according to a press release.

While all three deputies were recognized as Honor Students, Freeman was the class president, received the top academic award and was named the “Top Gun” award for being the best shooter.

Jones was named the second “Top Gun” for the second best shooter in the class and received the class flag for the best all-round student.
