DeKalb County called off some Earth Day events for April 22 because the weather looked bad.
This weekend DeKalb County will hold the postponed events. Here’s what you need to know:
Gardens in the Park.
When/where: 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Exchange Park, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur.
Why go: A community garden at Exchange Park is complete and open for all residents in the area. Adults and children 10 and older are welcome to participate. Registration is encouraged.
Day in the Park.
Where/when: 1 to 4 p.m. at Mason Mill Park, 1340 McConnell Drive, Decatur.
Why go: A new section of the PATH trail and a ribbon cutting on a wetland project will be held at 1 p.m. The ribbon cutting on a new dog park will be held at 1:45 p.m.
