The No. 5 ranked Tucker Tigers and No. 8 ranked Lakeside Vikings are the two remaining DeKalb County entries in the state soccer playoffs as teams head into the second round of play.
The Tigers (14-4-1) defeated South Paulding 5-1 in the first round to earn the right to host Dutchtown (10-4-0), a 5-3 winner over Tri-Cities, on Tuesday, May 8 at Hallford Stadium in Clarkston at 7:30 p.m.
Tucker’s Lucky Teah scored just his second and third goals of the season to put his team up 2-0 on South Paulding while Solomon Roberts (16 goals on season), William Gomez (11 goals) and Manthe Nsukami added one goal each in the win.
Goalie Steven Duffy had a solid game allowing just the one goal with the score already 4-0 in favor of the Tigers. Duffy has a 1.13 goals allowed per game
