Two of Decatur’s most popular events — the Craft Beer Festival and the Barbecue, Blues and Bluegrass Festival — award grants to local nonprofits.
Last year, for example, the beer festival awarded more than $49,000 in grants.
If you want to apply for a grant, you need to act now. The deadlines are approaching.
Decatur Craft Beer Festival: Submit by 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 6. Click here to download a copy of the grant application. The festival is held Oct. 20 and tickets go on sale at noon Sept. 17.
Decatur Barbecue, Blues and Bluegrass Festival. Submit by Aug. 18. You can find an application by going to the festival website and clicking on the “grant info” tab. The festival will be held Aug. 18 in Harmony Park.
