The teachers and staff at Chattahoochee Elementary School in Duluth were surprised Monday (April 23) with a check for $15,000 presented by Steve Gornall, owner of Cartridge World in Johns Creek.
Chattahoochee Elementary School was one of three winners of a recent contest sponsored by Cartridge World to provide technology funding for local schools. More than 1,000 schools in the United States and Canada participated in the contest. Funds can be used for technology and other school equipment.
Chattahoochee Elementary will be part of the eCLASS digital learning pilot program next school year. The funds will help “to ensure appropriate technological tools and resources that are part of students’ everyday media-rich lives are incorporated into the school day, making learning real and relevant to a student population that has never known a world without sophisticated technology,” said Jeff Lee, Chattahoochee ES principal.
