With the recent redistricting of the Georgia House of Representatives districts, many residents have raised questions about the boundary changes.
State Rep. Pat Gardner, D-Atlanta, walked us through what the new District 57 looks like.
Gardner has represented District 57 for almost 12 years. The district currently includes many Northeast Atlanta neighborhoods including Morningside and most of Virginia-Highland.
The redistricting splits Virginia-Highland into three separate districts and forces Democratic primaries in most areas.
Gardner faces another Democratic incumbent, state Rep. Rashad Taylor, in the primary set for July 31. Taylor currently represents District 55.
