Yes, they’ve hired a flock of 100 sheep to munch on the kudzu that plagues Atlanta and they want everyone to come meet their new hires. They’re throwing a Breakfast with the Sheep party in the park on June 8 at 9 a.m.
Partygoers will be able to feed the sheep, do some arts and crafts and learn about the importance of removing invasive plants like kudzu. (Don’t worry, there will be food for the humans to eat, provided by the Ritz Carlton Buckhead.)
The party is free, but please RSVP to the event on Facebook.
Using sheep and goats to eat kudzu might be unusual, but isn’t totally unheard-of. 11 Alive used a flock to clear kudzu off their studio’s property and Ewe-niversally Green provides a flock for residential kudzu clearing.
