Moores Mill Road Section Remains Closed

Yesterday, Patch reported on how a leaky water main closed a part of Moores Mill Road and forced area residents to conserve water. Today, the bulk of the work is done on that section of road, but it will remain closed to traffic for at least another day.

Today, CBS Atlanta reports that crews worked around the clock on Monday and into Tuesday morning to repair the water main, which first sprang a leak months ago. When the city got to work on stopping the leak, they quickly realized they didn’t have a certain special part they needed and work stopped until they were able to get it.

The main project is done, but now crews are working to patch up the affected areas of the road so people can drive on it again.

Since work is done on the main itself, it seems safe to say that the conserve water order has been lifted.
