Blind Savannah Couple Moves to New Home Thanks to WSAV Viewers

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) –

A blind Savannah couple has a new place to call their own, and it’s thanks in part to some kind-hearted WSAV viewers.

A few weeks ago, News 3 introduced you to Bob and Denise Boehner.

They’re both blind, and Denise uses a wheelchair. They needed $225 for utility deposits to move to a new home but didn’t have the money.

Some generous viewers saw the story and paid the deposit, plus contributing to moving expenses.

The Boehners moved to their new place Saturday, and they said it already feels like home.

“We are not going to be so crammed in. We had a one bedroom. We were squished!” said Bob.
