Buckhead Patch readers have decided they like their “staycations” on the historical side.
In our most recent “Best of” poll, we asked what readers thought the best place to spend a day, or “staycation,” was with the family around Buckhead. The winner was Atlanta History Center, which is located at 130 W. Paces Ferry Road.
The Atlanta History Center is one of Atlanta’s primary cultural institutions. Located on 33 acres in Buckhead, the center’s main attraction is the Atlanta History Museum, one of the Southeast’s largest museums. The center also has the Centennial Olympics Games Museum, the historic Tullie Smith Farm and Swan House, and the Kenan Research Center.
