Marshals Shot, Killed Man Wanted for Homicide by Vehicle
A Bartow man was shot and killed last Thursday as law enforcement agents and officers from several jurisdictions attempted to arrest him on a warrant.
Bartow County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the officer-involved shooting of Thomas Franklin Truitt, 37, at a home near Emerson.
Millsap said during the attempted arrest, shots were fired and Truitt was shot and killed.
Truitt was wanted on Cobb County warrants for first-degree homicide by vehicle, hit and run, driving on a suspended license and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act.
