The Army dropped rocker and conservative advocate Ted Nugent from the lineup of a planned concert at Fort Knox, Ky., Thursday, according to a Reuters report. The announcement came on the same day Nugent met with Secret Service agents over controversial comments he made about President Barack Obama.

The 63-year-old rocker drew Secret Service scrutiny after comments he made last week at a National Rifle Association event. Nugent told the crowd that he would be “dead or in jail” next year if Obama were re-elected.

Nugent was scheduled to perform at Fort Knox on June 23, along with REO Speedwagon and Styx, according to the Reuters report.
