Zone 4 Commanders shared news with NPU-T residents that 2 local Kroger Shopping Centers now have extra APD security in and around the stores.
For now, police recruits will be visible at 3030 Headland and 590 Cascade Road Kroger locations. The recruits have not finished their complete Atlanta Police training, and are not armed, but they do have police radios. Their instructions are to report any suspicious activity and to lead officers in the direction of suspects.
It is important to note that these recruits do not have arrest power, but it also important to note that according to the Commander, their presence is working.
