What African Americans should know about retirement will be the subject of a Spelman College seminar on Saturday, April 28, from 12:30-3:30 pm.
The free seminar is being presented by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration, and is being hosted in coordination with Spelman’s economics department. It is being held at Spelman’s Albro-Falconer-Manley Science Center, Room 134, 350 Spelman Lane.
“It is more important now than perhaps ever before that everyone has the tools needed to prepare for a secure retirement,” said Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employee Benefits Security Phyllis C. Borzi. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer this event with such a renowned institution as Spelman, and know that through their partnership, an important message is reaching workers and families in need of retirement savings expertise.”
