1. DeKalb History Center. This building, also known as the old courthouse, holds three exhibitions you can enjoy in air-conditioned comfort: Highlights from the Guy Hayes photo collection of life in DeKalb County in the 1950s and ’60s; artifacts and photos from Scottdale Mills (see accompanying photo); and a year-end retrospective by young artists at the Color Wheel, a children’s art studio in Decatur.
