One of the great things about Decatur CD is the in-store performances.
Some of the musicians to play in there over the years include Doria Roberts, the Modern Skirts, Chatham County Line and Peter Case, who used to play with the Plimsouls and the Nerve.
At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, 3 lb. Thrill, formerly known as Uncle Green, will perform at Decatur CD in support of their new/old record Rycopa.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the power-pop band was a big favorite in Atlanta during the 1990s and flirted with commercial success. They recorded Rycopa in 1997 but the record was never releasedj. Now band members have come up with financial backing to finally put it on the market.
On Saturday night, 3 lb. Thrill will play a CD release show at Smith’s Olde Bar on Piedmont Road.
