A Savannah teenager has been charged with at least six offenses after allegedly stealing a pickup truck and striking two pedestrians, according to a Savannah Morning News report.
Authorities were searching for a female suspect, originally described as 17 years old, after a teenage girl allegedly stole a pickup truck Tuesday, struck two pedestrians, crashed into a utility pole and fled. Savannah-Chatham police say a 14-year-old girl, accompanied by her mother, turned herself in Thursday.
The teen has been charged with auto theft, reckless conduct, driving without a license, hit and run and two counts of failing to report an accident with injuries, according to the Morning News. Additional charges could be added later.
