Gwinnett County Police say a 10-year-old boy was home by himself when a burglar broke into his house on the 2200 block of Halcyon Way in unincorporated Lawrenceville.
The break-in occurred about noon Friday.
According to GCPD Cpl. Jake Smith, the child heard glass breaking, called 9-1-1 and hid under his bed while a burglar went through his house.
A suspect was caught after leading police on a brief chase.
